The house under construction: the final phase

The “house under construction” kit for my model railroad is finally completed! I remind you that that does not mean that the house is fully constructed, just that Meredith has completed it up to the snapshot in time provided by the kit. If a 1/87 size version of you walks past the house at this point, you would see a partially constructed house with all the framing done and basically nothing else, as you can see in the image below. It took hours to get every little piece square and plumb, parallel to its neighbors and evenly spaced! I’m glad I was merely the foreman, not the carpenter. When it’s in place on the layout, it will be accompanied by construction equipment, lumber, tools, windows, paint, and so forth.
