Thai Oishii

Looking at the name of this Dorchester restaurant, your first thought is that its cuisine must be Thai. It’s right in the name after all!

But then you realize that the second word, oishii, is clearly Japanese, not Thai (we won’t go into the linguistics of that observation here, but it really is clear; IYKYK). What’s going on?

Well, the answer is staring us in the face: it’s both Thai and Japanese!

Furthermore, it’s delicious. Takeout for three, delivered yesterday by UberEats, was perfect:

  • Fried gyoza
  • 6 chicken wings
  • 7 shrimp shumai steamed
  • 6 fried gyoza
  • Japanese house salad
  • Nigiri yellowtail
  • Tuna sushi with cucumber
  • Pad see ew with beef
  • Pad Thai with shrimp
