This is disgusting. A leading member of Congress, Republican Dave Schweikert of Arizona, spent all day yesterday talking about the new Republican tax plan — yikes! numbers! — and had this to say about it on NPR’s All Things Considered this morning:

…it’s like hanging out with all the kids who used to be the president of their high school math club.

A disgusting statement by a member of the Ways and Means Committee, someone who’s supposed to be promoting science and math, not making fun of it! Hanging out with all the kids who used to be the president of their high school math club sounds like a fine idea to me.
