Is attention to detail important?

You probably haven’t heard of Mark Rooney. He’s running for a seat on the Governor’s Council against long-time incumbent Chris Iannella — who may also be unknown to you, even though his family has been in Boston politics for many decades.

For that matter, you may be wondering what the Governor’s Council is, since it has almost no purpose except for confirming judges (and some other appointees). Governor’s Councillors do have to pay attention to detail, which we know is important for judges to do.

Anyway, I just received this nicely produced 4-color flyer from Rooney, and two items stand out:

  1. His primary qualification seems to be that he is “one of eleven brothers.”
  2. He believes in “aggressively pursing traffickers of heroin.”

Yes, that’s pursing, not pursuing.
