Yes, I know that it’s purely for commercial purposes, but it still makes me feel welcome.
On the other hand, here is a pair of street signs in Brookline. Some out-of-towners find them unwelcoming and confusing, but I can’t imagine why. Don’t they know the New England way: if you don’t know how to drive here, you shouldn’t be here? (credit to Gretchen Van Ness and Adam Gaffin)
