Barbara and I are here in Seattle for our niece’s wedding and a mini-vacation, while Barbara’s sister Brenda house-sits and cat-sits. William appreciates her long fingernails, which are designed for scritching. Anyway, all the details about Seattle will come in a later post in a couple of days — but I took so many pix of the Chihuly Garden and Glass Museum that I wanted to post a few of them here in a separate post.
We had missed this show when it had briefly taken up temporary residence in Boston, so I was especially glad to see the permanent exhibit in its natural environment. In case you are unaware of Dale Chihuly, all you have to know is that he is an American sculptor in glass, born in 1941, who specializes in beautiful and amazing works that remind the viewer of objects in the natural world and artifacts made of other materials.
