What an indulgence!

What an indulgence: two Dorchester restaurants two days in a row! It’s important to support your local small businesses during the stay-at-home orders, so Barbara and I decided to get takeout from Tavolo last night even though we had gotten takeout from Blarney Stone just the previous night. (It’s painful, but somebody has to do it.) We had shrimp scampi with fettuccini, cherry tomatoes, scallions, and lemon; grilled salmon with pea risotto, snap peas, and lemon beurre blanc; rosemary focaccia with chili flakes, parmesan, and evoo; a slice of extra-indulgent flourless chocolate cake to go with the meal plus a lemon tartlet for the next day; and a bottle of Martin Ray Cabernet priced remarkably like retail rather than the usual restaurant price.
