Perhaps the title to this post is misleading: is it strictly correct for me to say that I am “re”reading Ulysses?

Well, in a way.

I like to claim that I’ve already read it one and a half times, because I have managed to get through three quarters of it twice.

You can be the judge of whether reading it again counts as “re”reading.

Anyway, I was inspired to try again by this article in the Harvard Gazette. Read the article—it’s short, and won’t take you very long—and you’ll see why it inspired me. I’ll let you know how it goes.
