Completing our Dining in Dorchester holiday week trifecta, Barbara and I followed up Sunday’s Christmas dinner at Chau Chow and Wednesday’s baked stuffed lobster from Adams Fish with New Year’s Eve dinner at our local favorite, the Ashmont Grill.
We started with a festive Kir Royale (chambord, prosecco, lemon twist) to accompany French Onion Soup (with swiss and parmesan cheeses, focaccia croutons, and chives) and a dozen Duxbury oysters on the half shell. Then a roasted beet salad for Barbara (with spinach, mixed greens, goat cheese, pickled red onion, candied pecans, balsamic dijon) and yummy lamb chops with grilled asparagus for me. All followed by Strawberries Romanoff (Grand Marnier, macerated strawberries, and orange whipped cream).
Wow!
