Bay State Model Railroad Museum

A few weeks ago I returned to the oddly named Bay State Model Railroad Museum for its excellent Open House. The reason I say it’s oddly named is that it’s not a museum in the conventional sense; it’s really the headquarters of an engineering-oriented model railroad club that holds a crowded open house two or three times a year. They pack an amazing variety of scenery and trains into a relatively small space, featuring both HO- and N-scale layouts that range from rural to urban. Some of the urban scenes are particularly striking. Here are a couple that feature trolleys:
